Meet the Two Frugal Cats - Ebisu & Grayson
Ebisu - 3.5 year old male orange tiger
Ebisu came to us from the Pope Memorial Human Society Shelter in Thomaston, ME during the summer of 2017 when he was about a year old. He is one of the most expressive and affectionate cats I've ever met, in many ways more dog than cat. He loves snuggling (being under foot), bird watching, sun-bathing, and spending every waking minute attempting to eat something.
Grayson 2.5 year old male black & white tuxedo
Grayson, aka "Master Grayson" is a sweet, sensitive feline who is an avid bird enthusiast, morning snuggler, and resident chatterbox. Grayson came to us through a friend as an 8 month old kitten in early 2019. Playful and smart, Grayson is more independent than Ebisu, but loves being close to his people.
We are fortunate that our cats get a long fabulously, often sleeping and playing with one another. The both know how to come when called, and sit on command. We don't know what we'd do without them!
I would be remiss to not mention our first post-marital "baby" that came in between Ebisu and Grayson, Mikew. Mikew (meek-o) was a kitten of a barn mama that we adopted locally from the farm where his mom was captured (and later fixed) in June 2018. Unfortunately, Mikew had an autoimmune disease called FIP, which resulted in various complications that negatively impacted his quality of life. We made the decision to have Mikew put to sleep in early 2019 as the complications of FIP had progressed beyond reasonable treatment (FIP has no cure). He was an extremely sweet, loving cat, who loved to play and be held. We still miss him every day.
