Freezer Challenge Week 5 Update - The Final Week?!
Week 5 has arrived! I wasn't sure how long this challenge would take - especially with so many proteins to get through.
I think we might be able to knock out the rest of the list this week (I guess I'll finally have to face that sherbet ice cream...). I am OK with not using up all the lemons and limes, because I still want to keep two or so of each on hand, I just wanted to reduce the amount of door space they were consuming.

Week 5 |
Getting Organized
This week looks to be pretty straightforward. I think the most organizing I will be doing is to move the sherbet to the front of the freezer. I've really enjoyed this challenge, and am almost sad to see it end, especially since I already filled the empty space with frozen vegetables from a great sale over the past week. Oh well, you win some, you lose some! The freezer is definitely less packed overall, and I plan to keep working through what we have on hand.
Thank you for following along throughout this challenge, I'd like to do another one soon, so please let me know if you've got an ideas for what you'd like to see in the future!
The Contenders
Cooked Meat
3Packages Cooked Cubed Chicken - 1 package left
- Turkey Pot Pie Filling (about 2 cups worth)
- About 12 Lemons & Limes - Two Limes and Four Lemons Down!
- 1/3 Container Sherbet Ice Cream
- 1 Popsicle
The Plan for Week 5
This week I'm planning on the following recipes to continue knocking out some of these items:
- Chicken Chipotle Chili
- Cooked Chicken
- Lime
- Turkey Pot Pie Bowls
- Turkey Pot Pie filling over rice or egg noodles
- Dessert!
I don't have much to contribute but I love reading ur blog...I am also an organized, detailed person! I would b interested in pantry or refrigerator challenges. Keep up the great job!
ReplyDeleteHi there, thank you for reading and commenting, I really appreciate it and I'm glad that you are enjoying so far! It is challenging to be organized, but writing it all out and breaking it down definitely helps me, and hopefully inspires others. I will keep brainstorming some challenge ideas, I've been leaning in the pantry direction, as our fridge is on the smaller side, so not much gets to hide for long.
